Oceanic Enterprises, located in San Diego, CA, is one of the leading companies in the hospitality industry. We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in full-cycle accounts payable. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase orders, inventory management processes, and work well independently in a fast-paced environment.


Accounts Payable Duties:

* Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements;

obtaining authorization of payment.

* Makes sure all invoices are paid in a timely manner, so no late fees accrue.

* Maintains open communication with General Managers, who give approval on invoices.

* Maintains accounts payable ledgers by posting account transactions.

* Verifies accounts payable by reconciling statements and transactions.

* Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments,

payments, or adjustments.

* Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls

* Maintains accounts payable historical records by filing accounting documents.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

* Resolve discrepancies and communicate with internal departments and vendors professionally

and courteously in writing and by telephone

* Must be accessible to work outside of job duties and assist other departments in the office

* Post journal entries and reconcile GL accounts


* 2-5 years of accounts payable experience, high volume accounts payable

*Accounting degree preferred

*Thorough knowledge with previous experience in QuickBooks with basic understanding of


*Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word)

*Must be well organized, prioritize workload, take initiative, complete multiple tasks

accurately and timely

*Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication
